Getting started
A New Block Paving Driveway in Aylesbury
Thinking about off-road parking in Aylesbury, a wider drive for a second car, or finally sorting out block paving that has sunk and gone green? We lay new block paving driveways, repair and restore old ones, and build matching patios and paths for homeowners in Aylesbury and the villages around it.
It starts with a free site visit. We look at the ground, the levels and where the rainwater goes, then talk through what you want and how you'll use the space. You'll get a written quote with each stage priced separately: dig-out, sub-base, edging, drainage and blocks. Nothing is hidden in a single lump sum.
We're the team behind Block Paving Milton Keynes, and we give every drive in Aylesbury the same groundwork we'd want under our own.

Homes and Drives in Aylesbury
Aylesbury has grown fast, with large new neighbourhoods on several sides of town and plenty of older estates in between. On the new estates, the most common request is to widen a developer drive so it takes two cars side by side, or to pave over the strip of lawn beside it. On the older estates, the block paving laid in the 1980s and 1990s is often sunken, weedy and ready for relaying. The Vale of Aylesbury is heavy clay country, so we dig deeper and build in proper falls and drainage to stop water sitting under the paving. It's at the far edge of the area we cover for block paving in Milton Keynes, but it gets the same care.

How We Lay Block Paving in Aylesbury
After your site visit and quote, we agree a start date. On day one the old surface and soft ground are dug out and taken away. Next comes the crushed-stone sub-base, laid and compacted in layers to the right depth for your ground, which on clay often means digging a little deeper. Kerbs or edging are set in concrete, and channel drains go in where the drive falls towards the house. A screeded sand bed follows, then the blocks in your chosen pattern. Finally the joints are filled with kiln-dried sand and the surface is compacted. A typical two-car drive takes three to five days, and you can usually park on it as soon as it's finished.
